I was close to Madison Square Garden, holy house for the Republican National Convention this year, and it was the starting gates of the massive protest. I kept getting blocked by police, racing blocks and blocks by foot, trying to get access pass the barracades. Finally just around Macy's, I finally turned a corner, and there lie in front of me the front of the protest, the first chain of many many blocks that followed behind. All the way we traveled to Union Sq. where I snuck within the press to see Jesse Jackson speak for the nightly news cameras with passion and great authority for the cause in which he marched that day.
